Stakeholders in the fashion industry, particularly members of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN) and prospective investors will be presented with another opportunity of watching African creativity first-hand, at the fashion/graduation of 42 delegates who have successfully completed their empowerment training in fashion design, tailoring, leather works, such as shoe making, bags and accessories under the Presidential Amnesty Programme’s youth empowerment scheme on Friday, November 17, 2017 in Lagos.

Speaking with newsmen in Lagos, the Managing Director of Zutilatam Nig. Ltd (the training consulting firm), Enetimi Evah Bunuzigha, said out 48 persons graduating on Friday, 42 are from the Presidential Amnesty Programme, informing that the delegates will be subsequently empowered with starter packs to establish their own businesses under the mentorship of her company for a period of time, with a view to assisting them stabilize in their businesses.

Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs), according to the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN), make up 90 percent of Africa’s fashion industry, most of who are talented and whose growth has been hampered by lack of capital.

However, Gen. Boroh, is poised to empowering all trained delegates of the Presidential Amnesty Youth Empowerment in various vocations and skills to establish their own businesses as part of the reintegration process of ex-agitators to enable them to reintegrate with their communities to live normal life.

The event which will take at 22 Ganiyu Sogunle Adeyemi Street, in Ire Akari estate, Lagos will have in attendance, the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig-Gen. Paul Boroh (Rtd), Former Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, Chief Kentebe Amagbe, Head, Vocational Training Department, Amnesty Office Abuja, Mrs. Faith Omofuma, Frontline Niger Delta Activist, Comrade Joseph Evah, Big time investor, Blesson Oborokumah, Regent Youmoh, and Beena Youdiowei
