√  THE ACTING PRESIDENT’S TOUR OF THE NIGER DELTA REGION

 

(1) Commend the Ag president’s directive on relocation of Corporate Headquarters back to the Niger Delta and demand for  time frame to implement the directive.

(2) Asking the Ag president to visit the  heavily gas and oil impacted Ijaw communities like Gelegele in Edo State.

(3) There should be proper dialogue to address the issue of Resource Ownership,True Federalism

(4) Commend the Ag president and minister of state, petroleum for the Marine University at Okerenkoko and the urgency to kickstart academic work at the school.

 

RECONCILIATORY/PEACE MOVE IS ONGOING:

 

(1) Already reaching out to critical stakeholders and elders for peace talks.

(2) Appeal to the teeming Ijaw Youth to continue to support and pray for the 7th elected Exco to move Ijaw nation forward.

(3) To operate a transparent, open door,all inclusive and result driven Ijaw Youth Council.

(4) Pledge a total loyalty, commitment and dedication for the Ijaw struggle.

 

√  MAKING A CASE FOR THE RE-BUILDING OF DISPLACED IJAW COMMUNITIES:

 

(1) Amazaba community in Eastern Obolo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state that was razed down through intra-communal crisis in 2008.

(2) Diebiri community in Warri South-West LGA of Delta State that was razed down due to intra-communal conflict in 1995.

 

COUNCIL’S READINESS TO VISIT OPPRESSED IJAW COMMUNITIES SOON:

 

(1) Abiala 1 & 2 Ikpeba-Okha

(2) Okomu Community-Ovia South-West LGA,Edo State.

(3) Eastern Obolo & Ibeno of Akwa Ibom State.
